you get my motor running

Well, maybe *you* don’t, but hopefully in the next day or two I’ll get *my own* motor running. Picked up a “new” motor (post ’96, exact age yet to be determined)  from a firefighter named Shawn out in Chilliwack, with plans to do a 705 convert. He had a couple motors, all with blown heads. All with brutal exhaust cam races. Apparently doing lots of wheelies or long hill climbs can leave the exhaust cams starved of oil. Yuck.
Anyways, the head is gone, but I don’t need the head! I’ll take off the top end in the next day of so and with a little luck and little sleep, I’ll have the motor re-built in the next couple days. My goal is to have it running Thursday. I think that’s plausible.
